Unimed Rio

Unimed-Rio is the result of an enterprise trajectory that started 46 years ago when a group of 27 doctors created a small cooperative business to guarantee work and dignified remuneration to the class. Currently they have more than 5,000 associates and 740 thousand clients, being the leader in the market of health insurance in Rio de Janeiro and the 6th largest Brazilian service company.

OBJECTIVE

The organization searched for our experience and methodology for the project that aimed to have all organizational structure of Unimed-Rio mapped, considering the existing processes and showing the necessary improvements.

PROJECT

Mapping of the processes was made, formalized and documented and a work was developed that made it possible to understand where the bottlenecks and inefficiencies were located, giving visibility to issues that needed to be dealt with to achieve the ideal efficiency. The project was developed along with the project team of Unimed-Rio and their main executives and a series of seminars was made to assimilate the search for a better functioning for the organization as a whole and the rationalization of processes to obtain gain.

RESULTS

The organization started to benefit from a structured and documented process mapping contemplating flow designs that made it possible for managers to have access to more qualified information and a better understanding to identify issues that needed improvement, as well as opportunities. As the executive body of the organization was involved, a culture of participation was created for a collaborative management aiming the optimization of the operations.
